Savannah Georgia is a gem of a city. It has walkable streets and beautiful parks. It is renowned for its beautiful and ornate ironwork on its buildings. This piece celebrates Savannah.
The panel is constructed in three layers. The first layer is a stained glass panel that generates the colors you see, It is mounted in the back. About a half inch in front of the stained glass panel is a a heavily textured translucent glass. I they made a gate out of thin sheet metal, colored it and mounted it atop the translucent glass.
It is truly three dimensional. The audience sees the background shift as they move to different veiwing angles.
